Reflecting this morning as I got up and stressed about the day, I was quickly reminded of all the things God has done in my life so far.
Let’s rewind, shall we?
2018. Has NOT been my year. The end of 2017 my church did a 21 day fast, a few things came to mind but the main thing was to fast about relationships.
Something my family has started for the past two years was to have a “word of the year!” My word was to CONQUER. *check out the blog about CONQUER*
I wanted to conquer a negative mindset, the major FOMO (fear of missing out) that I had every time I couldn’t be apart of a party or a social activity. I wanted to conquer every doubt I had about a situation or myself.
During that time a certain song had been released and INSTANTLY became the song of the year.
Now I know by now this is a long blog post, but there isn’t a limit on the amount of time that God has changed your life.
Another aspect of the fast was my dating relationship. At that time I had been in a relationship for a year. But I knew something wasn’t going right. So I fasted and prayed about it all and 17 days after the fast, we broke up. Of course, at the time I didn’t understand it, yet I looked back and knew it was all God’s doing.
I look back at it all now knowing that God was in the midst of every up and down.
One of the lyrics in the song SEASONS states “I believe that my season will come.” God gives us the silent moments to realize where we need Him most.
So to sum it all up, I’m still in my season of waiting, a season of sitting still, and a season of calling. But that’s how life is, there are new seasons to come and old to reminisce on.
“that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28
