The Parable of the Lost Sheep

Luke 15:4-7; (The Message Version)

“Suppose one of you had a hundred sheep and lost one. Wouldn’t you leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness and go after the lost one until you found it? When found, you can be sure you would put it across your shoulders, rejoicing, and when you got home call in your friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Celebrate with me! I’ve found my lost sheep!’ Count on it—there’s more joy in heaven over one sinner’s rescued life than over ninety-nine good people in no need of rescue.”

Hello Loves,

This parable has been a real eye opener in my life at the moment. Life can be pretty hectic at times and it’s hard as humans with a human nature, to let go and let God. Recently, I’ve had so many changes and realizations, good & bad, but most at which have pushed me away from God. But to know that a merciful, loving, and pure God would leave 99 just to find the 1 lost. Truly, a reckless move.

GOOD, AMAZING, HEART-FELT RECKLESSNESS.

There is a song called “Reckless Love” by Bethel Music. (Link below)

Reckless LoveGod is truly so amazing, that even if we choose to love Him, yet somehow wander off the path, He comes to CHASE after us. He loves us so much that He makes sure that no one is left behind. It’s crazy that we grasp onto a thing that is unseen.. But that is exactly what Christianity is. Being in complete awe and wonder, with a love and peace of something unseen.

CHORUS:

{Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God
Oh, it chases me down, fights ’til I’m found, leaves the ninety-nine
I couldn’t earn it
I don’t deserve it
Still You give yourself away
Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God}

BRIDGE:

{There’s no shadow You won’t light up
Mountain You won’t climb up
Coming after me
There’s no wall You won’t kick down
No lie You won’t tear down
Coming after me}
